Monthly TBR: February

Now that I have gotten back into the pace of balancing classes with work, I think I’ll have a more productive and relaxing reading month. There’s not much going on in my life outside of that and for once, I’m glad life is simple.

With that in mind, my goal for this month is to read at least three ARCs, since I’m still quite behind. I mainly picked a few books for which I’m on the blog tour but didn’t get to last month.

My Series Challenge continues with the Glass Alliance by Joana Hathaway! I wasn’t sure how to label it since one of the books is a backlist and the other is an ARC so thank you for bearing the odd layout this month.

Check out the rest of my TBR below!

Storm from the East by Joanna Hathaway

So I haven’t even read the first book to the WWII inspired fantasy series but the sequel is coming out so I better catch up!

Foul is Fair by Hannah Capin

Macbeth retelling. Revenge. Discussion about sexual assault. I read Macbeth last summer and I loved it so I am very interested in how the author reinvents the story through Lady Macbeth’s lenses. From what I can tell, this book may be triggering for some so if you’re interested, please make sure you’re in the right head space for it.

Ink in the Blood by Kim Smejkal

What would you do if you served a goddess you didn’t believe in, betray them, and realize they were real all along? That’s what I’d like to know. Ink in the Blood gives off heavy dark fantasy vibes, along with discussion of religion and a theatre trope. If I had to pick a book I’m most excited for, it would be this one.

Wicked As You Wish by Rin Chupeco

Promises of a Fillipina heroine, and an alternate world history, magic, and refugee prince, sign me up!

Tweet Cute

Tweet Cute by Emma Lord

I started to read Tweet Cute last month but due to life, I didn’t get to finish. So I’m here to try again. I love the premise of a rival-to-lovers via a twitter feud!

Dark of the West by Joanna Hathaway

This was one of my most anticipated of 2019 but I never got around to reading it. With the sequel coming out this month, I figured now was the best time. The series promises WWII-esque fantasy, romance, politics, and lots of intrigue.

Overall, I think it’s a solid TBR list of books I’m excited for for different reasons. I’m especially looking forward to reading Ink in the Blood.

Are there any new releases that you are excited to read this month?
